Annoyance

Otw back to KL, my friend and I stopped by an R&R. While they went to the loo I decided to buy some waffles at an almost-empty waffle shop

When the worker saw me, he asked if I was taking the bus. I told him no, I came by car. He nodded and started my order. About 5 mins later, another customer came, and he asked the same question. She said she was with a bus. He nodded and started her order.

When the first waffle was done, I was surprised that he handed it to her first. He nodded to me and explained without me prompting, "The ones taking bus are in a rush". As someone who takes the bus sometimes I understood the priority (because buses don't wait for long), but I was a bit annoyed because I was tired, and I was in a rush too! But the feeling disappeared when I saw her dashing to a bus not far from us, got inside, and saw it leave a few seconds after.

I'm glad she got her waffle first.

When I finally got my waffle, it was burnt on one side and not fully cooked on another. I suspected sthg was wrong with the settings of the waffle machine when I was at the shop, and I was right. Another annoyance, after waiting for so long. But things could've been so much worse, and I still get to go home with my friend and enjoy the sunset drive, laughing about my semi-cooked waffle. Is this worth fussing over, in the grand scheme of things?

Annoyances make us human, I suppose.
