the safe spaces that are no more
The internet was my safe space growing up, where I could escape from a troubling, superficial world.
Ironic how now almost every site is contaminated with AI/bots (& with the rate it's growing, it's harder to tell who/what is or isn't real) so irl doesn't feel as bad anymore.
I'm not sure which is worse, though: dealing with fake social engagements online, or navigating unwelcoming social events offline?
I guess I'll just stay in my room and read stuff, ha.
